I live in Coconut Grove, Florida and I love to craft, take pictures and hang out with my best friend Chris (who I am also married to) and our two spoiled cats. I work for an online scrapbook company called Scrapblog. Scrapblog.com. So here's a little blog about my life and what I find around town and online that inspires me.

    My Funny Valentine

    Thursday, January 24th, 2008

Having a Valentine is indeed a special thing.  I am definitely looking forward to February 14th this year.  We just moved into our cute little place in the Grove, and we spend our mornings together.  Our lives are finally in non-chaos mode for the moment.  As I prepare my Valentine’s Day projects, I am feeling my heart flutter again as I realize how dear my own special Valentine is to me.  This weekend I am heading to my Stampin’ Up meeting and I am planning to create my Valentine’s Day cards.  Here’s to having a goal! :) Valentine’s Scrapblog

    Coral Castle - Miami Florida

One of my many (and growing) hobbies is photograghy. I think a lot of scrapbookers become more and more interested in photography over time as a way to improve their layouts. I started with photography first. Taking pictures was actually how I met my husband almost 15 years ago. We both worked on the college newspaper, he was the staff photographer and I did the layout design. I think I must have always been destined to be a scrapper, right? Anyway, we spent many hours in the dark room (get your mind out of the gutter! we were developing film!)
My love for photography has not changed, even in this digital age. I still love to shoot pictures with film and develop them myself. We have a darkroom in our house. Pretty rare these days, but we love it.
If you click on the photo, you will see all of the shots I took at Coral Castle a few weeks ago. Chris, as you can see here, was shooting also. He was using a Nikonos II from 1968. I was shooting with the Nikon D60. A solid camera. I plan to make the color version of this Scrapblog with the shots Chris took. He’s a talented artist. Enjoy the photos. I enjoyed taking them!
